IRIS COMMUNICATIONS INTERFACE KIT FOR PALM POWERED^TM HANDHELDS

APPLICATIONS:

• Connects the Palm Powered^TM Handheld to IRIS Model P531 Signal Processor front connector (RS-232)
       The PDA battery is automatically charged (no external power supply is necessary)
• Connects the Palm Powered^TM Handheld to RS-422 (Modbus interface)
       Can be battery powered from the PDA
       Optional power supply can be used to charge the PDA
       The Standard 5 VDC power supply can be used to power the PDA.
       A fully charged PDA will last 4 to 6 hours in this mode.
• Connect the Palm Powered^TM Handheld to Model 800SP (RS232)
       Straight RS232 serial connection
       Optional power supply can be used to charge the PDA

FEATURES:

• Converts RS232 to RS422
       An adaptor cable is required to connect to a RS422 device
            DB25 F to 6 pin modular (for the P532 and P531 connector)
            DB25 F to TRM5 / 4pin connector (for the P522 connector)
            DB25 F to discrete wire connections (for the P520 connector)
       Requires external power
            From the PDA battery. , OR
            A 5 VDC power converter (also charges the PDA when connected)

SOFTWARE:

• IRIS Flametools for Palm Powered^TM Handhelds  is available separately from IRIS Systems

• Provides full programming for IRIS Models P522, P531, P532, 700 and 800 Signal Processors
